Description

An original 1st press of Who's Next on the UK Track label from 1971. Matrix 1/2. Etching 'MG12888'. Please note labels are matt and flat, NOT shiny and ridged - as per 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 'Marketed by Polydor' MacNeill cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In very nice condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks an one which is getting feelable [and it sounds -> see detail below]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is mostly very minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. The only deviation is caused by the mark mentioned above in 'Bargain' which traverses the track. But thankfully it doesn't seem to cause any issue within the track. All you get is a few ticks before the track begins and then a few more in the final seconds as it closes out. Basically "a lucky escape" I'd say. And given that this LP plays back to a high standard I'd argue it's a bit of a bargain providing you can live with said mark.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been cared for down the years. Nice clean front and back much better than many examples. There are a few undulations on the rear top-right and bottom-right..nothing epic though. There's a bit of edge wear in places, but overall it's quite minor for this title. The text on the spine is all still legible - but there is a bit of wear here and there. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Light ageing.
