Description

An original summer 1970 1st press on UK Decca. Matrix 1W/1W - 1st cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Robert Stace fully laminated [back and front] 1st issue cover. We also have the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date coded '08-70' - [just one month prior to 1st release]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Little to quibble at here - it's a clean player throughout. Even into those super low-key tracks.. 'Love In Vain' plays really clean - which is unusual. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated moment per side. A blindingly good copy which comes highly recommended. Note - one of the labels has a bit of left-over sticker on it.
Cover (Ex) Is preserved to a high level with clean and flat front and rear. A couple of slight creases are observable front and a slight bit of sticker residue in the top left. No issues on the rear. No signs of noticeable ageing - it's looking pretty dapper all round. Edge wear is minimal and the spine 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Minimal ageing and no splits.
