Description
ULTRA RARE COLLECTIBLE VERSION OF THIS ALBUM BY NICK DRAKE. Produced by Island of the UK in 1972 with these features, found on discogs and confirmed present:
"Released on a ''pink rim'' Island label in a matte laminated fold-out cover containing the lyrics.
This release has on the back of the cover bottom right edge: "Printed and made by Tinsley Robor Group Ltd." bottom centre under Island logo: "island records ltd basing street london w11" "
NOTE: This version did not come with the light blue Island inner sleeve, but rather had a plain white "Made in Great Britain" inner sleeve. Also, the jacket may be a light "matte" texture, not like the more prominent matte texture of the first issue of Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, for example.
The matrices are:
Matrix / Runout (A Side (stamped)): ILPS 9184 A-1U Matrix / Runout (B Side (stamped)): ILPS 9184 B-1U
NOTE: On Side A there are two much lighter stamped characters - one looks like a "1" and the other like a "P". Same for Side B with what looks like a "C" and then a second with two lines, like a "1" with a smaller straight line above it. The dead wax is very clean and the main stamped matrices are very prominent.
The corners of the gatefold have moderate wear, light edge wear, no splits, rings or marks. The LP was stored in the plain white "Made in Great Britain" sleeve and LOOKS GREAT, with no scratches seen on clean vinyl, I'll grade NM.
