THE DRONES "Be My Baby' 12" vinyl test pressing 1977. This is the original Valer Records release from Manchester's Drones. A great cover i got it in Streets Ahead Altrincham i think, in 77 this and Slaughter and the Dogs 'Boot Boys" on 12" were great on 12" - extra loud! this has been with me since - played, but carefully looked after
On 18-Sep-17 at 21:31:06 BST, seller added the following information: NEW INFO i didn't realise how rare the was til i asked Mr Google"Unfortunately, after this the band lost momentum, and the third single 'Be My Baby' / 'Lift Off The Bans' was not released because Valer went bust, and only 200 white label 12" test pressings were made - no picture sleeve. In 1996 some counterfeits emerged, alegedly from the band, as well as a 7" version (see discography). The originals have 'Lets hear it for the Dronettes' scratched on the run-out grooves"
