This is an original UNITED KINGDOM FIRST and EARLIEST PRESSING of NICK DRAKE`s MASTERPIECE LP called PINK MOON. It is on the ISLAND record label and bares the earliest and most sought after matrix numbers A-1U and B-1U in the dead wax area of the record. This rare gem is in TRULY ASTOUNDING condition ! The magnificent and beautiful none laminated gate fold sleeve is in AMAZING condition for its 46 years. As you know none laminates are prone to damage scuffs and rubbing, double click the pictures and look at this beauty ! Lovely bright and vibrant colours to this very cubism, Picasso esk work of art of an album sleeve. The outer jacket has the very slightest lite touch of ring ware to the back . Very light fading to the bottom front sleeve area but nothing that spoils its appearance. The spine if fully intact with all spinal writings undamaged and all the corners are still very sharp. Inside the gate fold, looks as if this sleeve was made just yesterday, TOTALLY AMAZING condition.The sleeve is a strong EXCELLENT. The original blue Island inner sleeve is present and with the cellophane still firmly attached and is also EXCELLENT.
The vinyl of side one is EXQUISITE under a normal light and only when held up close to a spot light, you can see the most lite wispy hairlines that have not at all been put there by a stylus, but are the marks left from taking this cracker from in and out of its inner sleeve over the years. The highest luster sheen possible to this side. There are no spindle trails at all to the lovely PINK RIM ISLAND record label. Side one is a STRONG EXCELLENT .
Side two also shimmers like mirror when held toward the light and again the highest luster sheen is here. This record has not been played much at all. Again no spindle trails to be seen to this side. Bright and vibrant colours to the record label. Amazing condition to this side also. It has to be graded a SRTONG EXCELLENT. It test played magnificently all the way through its entirety without the slightest fault at all. Truly INCREDIBLE condition. This is a very VERY rare ORIGINAL FIRST EARLIEST PRESSING in TOTALLY DREAM Condition. This level of condition is impossibly rare to come across so certainly worthy of your very best bid !
