Grachan Moncur III Evolution w.J.McLean Blue Note mono NY ear Van Gelder Grachan Moncur III ' Evolution ' BLUE NOTE BLP 4153 (USA) mono NY labels - on bottom of back cover has the 43W 61St address - rec. and issued in 1963 - on trail-off (dead wax) has the 'ear' and 'Van Gelder' Grachan Moncur III : trombone - Jackie McLean : alto sax - Lee Morgan : trumpet - Bobby Hutcherson : vibes - Bob Cranshaw : bass - Anthony Williams : drums Side 1 : Air raid - Evolution Side 2 : The coaster - Monk in wonderland All compositions by Grachan Moncur III Visual grading : record is VG still some lustre has several light surface marks and few more evident scratches on both sides. Nothing is deep or feelable. Clean labels with light spindle wear Playing grading : record is VG- to VG plays fairly well with sound loud and clear for most part of record except for some few repeated ticks on second track of side 1 and some crackling and some ticks on track 2 of side 2 Cover grading : cover is VG+ has light wear to corners, edges and to spine. Bottom right corner has been repaired for a short seam split. Light rubbing on back cover. Has a small marker's sign and a small stamp on bottom back.
