What I’m offering is a VERY RARE, MONSTER garage 45 by Beep Beep And The Road Runners titled Shifting Gears (instrumental) b/w True Love Knows (vocal), issued on the small private press Vincent label, cat number 222 in 1966. Both sides of this 45 are fantastic. Those who know this record I’m sure will agree.
Beep Beep And The Road Runners were a Worcester, MA band that incorporated two drummers into their sound.
The grading on the 45 is NM A side (instr), VG++ B side (vocal). The A side has one surface line (not a scratch but a superficial pressing line) that is totally inaudible and does not affect its play. The B side has a couple of small ¼ inch, light scratches at the very beginning of the song, one of which is inaudible and one that has a low fidelity, hardly-noticeable click for three revolutions. You have to listen hard to even hear it underneath the pounding drums. The 45 still has high gloss to it and nice clean labels.
Copies of this rare 45 hardly ever come up for sale. And when they do, they are usually in beat up condition. This may be the nicest copy you will find. This copy will please even the most condition conscious collectors. You will be very happy with this record.
