Description

In 1956, a young Elvis Presley released his first album, and titled it 'Elvis Presley'. On the strength of the single "Blue Suede Shoes", he became a popular music superstar, seemingly overnight! His career would be massive until his untimely death in 1977. Elvis would burn up the charts and excite fans all over the world, in the 50s, 60s, and 70s!

The debut album had the word 'Elvis' in pink, up and down, and 'Presley' in green, across the bottom. That iconic pic of Presley playing a box guitar is also on the cover. This artwork inspired The Clash, and they did a version of it on their 'London Calling' album cover!

This is a special, limited edition import that was made in the EU, in 2016. The A side is the album's artwork. The B side has song titles, more pics of Elvis, and the album's original liner notes! I bought this new, but it was never sealed. In its original PVC heavy, clear sleeve. 140 gram vinyl, so it's thick and durable! Vinyl looking great, and is still all shiny and clean! Record only taken out of its jacket to take pics and admire. Gently handled  A sweet Elvis collectible to have, and a great way to commemorate the very first album released by the 'King of Rock & Roll'!
