The Unknown Soldier/We Could Be So Good/Don't Try To Catch A River/Do It Again
Mega rare iranian only original pressing on Persepolis label. This one, as all the records of western music, was printed before the islamic revolution of 1979 that banned all western music. The exact year of press is unknown but is surely from the 60's considering the tracklist that is quite unique. It includes two songs by the Doors (The Unknown Soldier and We Could Be So Good)as well as a nice Doors picture sleeve. Also featured on the record are the Beach Boys with Do It Again and The Aphrodite's Child. Very very rare as all the records originating from Iran are.
CONDITIONS: g+/g+ (cover/record from strict Record Collector grading) Cover is old and a bit battered but it's there; wear and age marks, wrinkles and some light water damage on back, otherwise nice with no writings. Record is nice basically beautiful for being an iranian record with many obvious scuffs but no significant deep marks; unfortunately since the poor quality of the pressing it plays with significant (though, in my opinion, still acceptable) background noise, so you are invited to buy it purely as a collector's piece and not to test your new $$$$ hi-fi system! :-D One label has a sticker that looks like a tax stamp or something similar with the Iranian imperial lion on it!! Fascinating!
