RUDI – Big Time/Number 1 * ORIG Good Vibrations 45 / GOT 1 (UK, Stereo, 1978)
CURRENTLY LISTED: OTHER 1970s UK PUNK 45s – SOME VERY RARE ITEMS. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK!
Happy to present a great condition original copy of this classic Northern Irish single – the first release on Terri Hooley’s legendary Good Vibes label and one which has stood the test of time really well.
The sleeve is the wraparound light blue one with the purple writing and band photo on the rear. It’s survived nicely with not much sign of the passing years or excessive use. NO writing, seam splits, stickers, heavy creases or corner damage. A touch of ruffling to the top edge, a tiny ½ cm tear to the rear top edge and some (very) light age spots to the bottom right corner. Other than this, a great, well looked after example which I think deserves at least an EX- (Excellent Minus) grade, if not full EX.
The labels are superb – original 4-prong centre, NO writing, residue, dirt or other nasties and I can’t make out many (if any) spindle trails. This has seen very little play. Ace set of these vintage labels!
The vinyl is a dazzler – full shine, NO scratches, hairlines or visible scuffs – looks pretty much shop fresh. Sits flat with no warps. Visually grades M- (Mint Minus). IT HAS BEEN LISTENED TO BOTH SIDES and plays just fine so expect a loud and clear listen with NO snap, crackle or pop, no distortion, groove wear or lack of definition. Brilliant, well looked after 35 year-old vinyl.
