Description

If you have any doubt about how important these guys were, check the story about Dave Ray that aired Sunday morning on Weekend edition on NPR. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the discriminating collector. Not many records that were recorded over 50 years ago are still available for purchase to this day. But this is the original, and the only version that contains all 52 minutes of the one day recording session. Only 300 copies were pressed. How many remain today is anyone’s guess, but few enough that according to a rare record database (popsike.com) the last time one showed up on eBay was October 2006. It sold for $176.00.   Sleeve is VG, there is some very minor damage to the upper left corner, see photo, which also includes a pencil signature which I have not touched. There is some aging discoloration around the edges. Sleeve has been maintained in a mylar cover.   Disc is VG++  Very clean and straight. I bought this record over 40 years ago and have played it twice, both times on a Bang & Olufsen turntable. There is some surface noise due to the high compression used in order to get all the tracks on a single lp.  The record is pressed on translucent red vinyl.   Please check my feedback which is 100 per cent positive. All items are described with great care for accuracy. I am now starting to list a number of items from my personal record collection. All of the albums have always been maintained in a temperature and humidity controlled, smoke free environment. Some of these records were played many times but always on the finest turntable available.   Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have.
