VERY RARE FOLK BLUES PRESSING OF BLUES,RAGS AND HOLLER ON AUDIOPHILE LABEL AP-78.songs played by SPIDER JOHN KOERNER, DAVE RAY & TONY GLOVER.PRESSED IN WISCONSIN by audiophile label who was getting into a new venture recording and pressing this lp all done in one day.This is an extraordinary opportunity for the discriminating blues/rare record/audiophile label collector.. Not many records that were recorded over 50 years ago are still available for purchase to this day. But this is the original, and the only version that contains all 52 minutes of the one day recording session. Only 300 copies were pressed.and legend has it none made it to stores and the band members had to try and sell the copies themselves..later this was picked up by elecktra label but minus 4 songs... How many remain today is anyone’s guess, after collecting for over 50 years this is the only one I ever came across and I have owned some of the rarest records ever pressed..
Sleeve is VG, there is some very minor damage to the upper Right corner, see photo,. There is some aging discoloration around the edges. Disc is VG+ Very clean and straight.but has same scuffs marks nothing deep I cannot play test it so I have no idea of audio quality.. I bought this record over 40 years ago and have played it twice, last time over 5 years ago..it is a super great blues lp on top of being rare...
There was normal surface noise due to the high compression used in order to get all the tracks on a single lp. The record is pressed on translucent red vinyl.ask question prior to bidding....
