The Beatles - The Beatles
This fantastic copy of The Beatles eponymous studio album, known widely as 'The White Album', comes with the extremely rare Parlophone export labels.
It is unknown how many export copies were originally produced but they are very seldom offered for sale. Here is scarce opportunity to add a copy to your collection.
All export copies are believed to have been sold in stereo sleeves between 0500000 and 0600000. This copy is numbered No. 0521974 suggesting it is the original sleeve. To support this, a small sticker can be seen on the rear of the sleeve with the word 'stereo' printed. I had never seen one of these before but I believe it must have been added to some export copies.
This album is complete with all original inner: two die-cut black inner sleeves, 4 photo card images of the Beatles, the photo card spacer, and the large foldout poster with song lyrics on the flip-side.

Labels: EXCELLENT
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. Only a small number of spindle marks are visible to all sides.
Visual: VERY GOOD - / VERY GOOD
The vinyl surface retains the original deep gloss factory finish. In bright daylight a number of surface marks are visible to all four sides. Disc 1 is better than disc 2 hence the split grade. It is a shame the vinyl weren't looked after as well as the labels.
Sound Quality: VG / VG+

I would describe the audio as 'characterful'. Although by no means perfect, it is truly an enjoyable listen - I had a great time whilst making the recordings. There is a wide range in the quality of the audio. Some tracks are VG-, some a comfortable VG+. Surprisingly, the quieter tracks are some of the best on the album. Overall it sits somewhere between VG and VG+. I won't go into too much detail, when you have some spare time take a listen and decide for yourself.
The sleeve looks great. All four sides are clean and the laminate retains the original lustre. There is no sign of ring wear. The spine has some laminate lift but is fully read-able. The top, bottom and opening edges show only minor wear. The corners are firm but are slightly softened.
Inners: EXCELLENT
The original inner sleeves look great. They both have small rips around the die-cut centre and opening edge. The four photo cards look untouched.The poster looks great but does have a couple of short seam splits.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution) and then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve. The album is stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The album will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
