A copy of Prince’s The Gold Experience album on translucent gold vinyl,originally released as a promo two-disc LP back by Warner Bros. / NPG back in 1995. 

I imagine if you’re looking at this listing you’ll already know all about this release. It’s numbered 00791 on the cardboard sleeve with the title sticker on front sleeve, liner notes sticker on the back by Jim Walsh and hand-engraved messages in the run-out grooves on the translucent records. It’s pretty unique and collectable. 

Originally purchased online approx. ten years ago when I started getting back into vinyl, it’s been used a number of times over the years. Both the condition of the sleeve and the vinyl really are great, and it’s been well looked after. I’m pretty particular about how I look after my vinyl collection and it has been in a plastic sleeve since when I bought it to help minimise shelf-wear and dust. It’s offered in black poly-sleeves.

Sleeve wise, it’s in great shape with no significant signs of wear,complete with no corner dents or dings. The stickers on the sleeve show a very small amount of shelf wear on the front and back from before I had it, but it’s not particularly noticeable at all. 

Media wise, both the discs are in top shape and plays great, with no skips when played on my Rega3 turntable. Overall, it sounds good -  a clear and bright sounding album.

Using the vinyl grading system, I’d say the Vinyl is NM, with the sleeve condition VG.
