Quality vinyl for the discerning collector
THE BEATLES - SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
This 1st UK STEREO pressing dates from the initial release date of June 1967. A stunning investment grade copy on the black yellow Parlophone label with 'Sold in UK..' text and KT tax code. PCS 7027
A fabulous copy which I guess has received only 2 or 3 very careful plays in its 47 year history however it may even be unplayed. A truly remarkable example and extremely rare in this condition.
Stereo in 1967 was still being outnumbered by mono in vast numbers and so of the two mixes the original stereo mix is by far the rarest. It is significantly different from its mono counterpart.
The stereo mix was undertaken by George martin and Geoff Emerick in April 1967 and completed on the 21st of that month. It differs from its mono counterpart; for example, ‘She’s Leaving Home’ is mastered at the correct speed of 3 mins 34 secs as opposed to 3 mins 26 secs on the mono version, there are of course many other differences.
Housed in its original and early fully laminated gatefold sleeve, complete with psychedelic red inner & unused cut-out.
Don’t miss out!
Matrix numbers: YEX 637-1 & YEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 1/GRH (First mother) & 4/GRT

CONDITION
Disc
Visual: nr MINT
A beautifully preserved copy which is completely unmarked. On very close inspection and when viewed under a strong halogen desklight all that is revealed are ultra faint whispy sleeve removal marks. The vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: MINT
Audio perfection of this Beatles classic. This is as perfect as vinyl can get. Beautiful unworn music signals with a pure sounding base throughout. There are no pops or ticks and the record does not jump or stick.
Labels: MINT
Fresh and sharp looking labels with no apparent evidence or marks that the record has even been played. The KT tax code is visible on side 1.
Cover
nr MINT
An original 1st issue patents pending Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Fabulous condition and virtually in the same condition as it left the shop back in June of 1967. Crackles as new when opened. The only flaws which prevent a mint grading are a couple of very light thumbnail creases to the front panel and a light bump to the bottom left corner on the rear panel.
Psychedelic inner-sleeve Excellent +
Cut-out – nr MINT
