After 20 years of collecting, the time has come for me to sell my Beatles collection and let other collectors appreciate some of the records and memorabilia I've accumilated over the years. This auction is for a very rare 1969 reissue stereo copy of the UK Parlophone EP 'Magical Mystery Tour' with pushout centres. This reissue EP features the 'Gramophone' rimtext but NO 'Sold in the UK' statement!
This EP has the very unusual green lyric insert. I've only ever seen it in blue and yellow.
But what makes this EP rare is that side 4 carries the 7XCE matrix number in the deadwax rather than 7YCE. The 7XCE matrix number is for the MONO pressing and, as such, this side of the EP actually plays in mono instead of its designated stereo!
Very rare! Quality control would have caught that early on. Seems a few copies made it past and out onto the shelves!

The cover is holding up okay but is showing some wear and tear. The front cover has a lovely colour to it with no dirt buildup on the laminate. There's some rounding of the corners and some little laminate creases in the corners and around the edges. Bottom seams are holding tight with no wear or splitting. Spine is looking good with no laminate peel, wear or splitting. Inner gatefold has, unfortunately, seem to have taken a little water damage which has caused some brown staining at the bottom and top and has also caused some of the booklet pages to stick together. A past owner seems to have tried to pull apart the pages and torn them along the top (these tears and light staind hves affected pages 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 21) but, overall, is holding up okay. the actual green lyric insert is looking really nice!

Both of the original white inner sleeves are included, although one has the wavy opening and one has a straight opening. Both have yellowed a little with some light tears, creasing and disc impression. Disc 1 : VG+

The playing surface on disc 1 is looking pretty good - looks like it might need a bit of a clean, though. There's some light scuffs in places but I can't really see anything serious. Disc 2 : VG

Both labels are looking good with bright, silver text. There's a small patch of wear on the side 1 label and a slightly prominent spindlemark on the side 2 label, but apart from that the labels look really nice. Barely any other spindlewear and just a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Disc 2 Labels : EX+

Again, the labels on disc 2 are looking really good with bright, silver text and no writing or damage or anything. There's a little more light spindlewear on these labels and just a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
