Description
This opening price is a steal for an Andy Warhol hand signed autograph!
The is a matted collection. INCLUDES a vinyl LP of the dynamic first issue Velvet Underground album complete STILL with peel off banana sticker intact as shown, BUT, the TV Guide with cover art by Andy Warhol, is hand signed by Andy Warhol himself (Top right). Comes with a Andy Warhol post card (in the bottom right). VU album and Post card are added decoration to the autographed TV Guide.
Bottom line is: This has been framed some 25 years! The LP cover is is in good condition but there is a 4 inch split on top, back gate fold.
Record is in Stereo with lite surface scratches. Blue and silver Verve label. But cover is B- condition I guess. This sale is more about the Andy Warhol autographed art on TV Guide and that the Lp's stickered banana is still intact! Sticker has never been removed.
(STORY) I got the TV Guide signed by Warhol myself at a book signing in the 80's in San Francisco (at Gramaphone Records, Polk Street).
When I placed the TV Guide in front of Warhol to sign he look at it and laughed saying "Do you collect TV Guides?" When his assistance standing behind him, heard Andy chuckeling AND heard HIM talking to me, he stepped in closer and leaned in. Andy picked up the TV Guide and showed it to him as I responded to his question! I replyed to Andy "No, only the ones you do covers of." He just said "Oh!" with a smile. (Andy Warhol never did another TV guide cover that I know of or not until that point)
I am NOT including the glass and frame. Just includes the matte and the 3 items showed. All are genuine! If this does not sell I have decided to keep it.
This is a moving sale. Priced to sell to another fan's home! I must deplete my collections. It's sad I must let this go.
Because I am hanicapped I only mail out on Thursdays! I use USPS as it includes tracking and insurance on winning amont.

I have had around 12 people asking questions ONLY about the LP which has made me have to OPEN UP THE FRAMED, MATTED AND SEALED item I am selling here.
So, I am no longer including the matte. Just the LP, Signed TV Guide and postcard. Again. this does not include the Frame, Glass or matte.
