THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'

1969 UK FINAL Y&B LABEL *STEREO* LP


Pressed in mid-late 1969, this NEAR MINT stereo pressing is on the final version of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3045

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.

There is no tax/price code is present in the centre of either label.


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.


Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2

Stamper codes: 4/MH & 2/OD

A superb set with no more than 2 or 3 light spindle trails to each centre hole.

Visual: NEAR MINT

Pristine, deep-gloss surfaces which are totally unmarked and 'as new' in strong daylight with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath halogen light. Very hard to upgrade.

Play: NEAR MINT

Everything on this barely played copy sounds fresh, clean & clear with no traces of any groove/play wear or background noise on or between any track, let alone any clicks or pops. Hard to find a better sounding stereo copy.

Cover

EXCELLENT

This fine example bears a striking unyellowed, unscratched high-gloss front panel with just a single faint 'thumbnail', but no storagewear rubbing. The only factor preventing a higher grade is a bump to the lower edge towards the left corner. All the corners themsleves are sharp & square & both opening edges are are clean & unworn. The rear panel is perfectly clean & white with no marks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are intact and both seams & the perfectly worded spine are smooth, unstressed and undamaged.

Clean & flat with just a few light storage creases but no writing, tears or splits.


  • Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
