VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO ~. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
My knowledge of this recording is limited to what I’ve seen on eBay and a couple Google searches. Please see photos and make judgments. I will be as fair as I can about condition.
Appears to be an early edition, based on the Torso cover, the sides marked A and B. The Black Angel’s Death Song is listed on the label as 3:01. The label says STEREO and MGS 558 on A and MGS 559 on B.
The sleeve is plain white, which I believe makes it a replacement
The record itself is not good. Lots of surface scratches and crackles, with a couple skips on each side.
The cover is pretty rough. It does have the Torso. Peeled banana, soiled on front side, with remnants of a partially removed small price sticker. The back side is a little better but still some soiling; the Torso image is pretty good. The top and bottom edges show a lot of wear. The fold-over part that holds the record is split open, and is together only in the middle for about 3”. The bottom is split in the middle for about 5” but together at each end. The spline has some wear but the print is readable and mostly tight. The inside is much better with only a little soiling, and about an inch of minor damage at the fold.
That’s my best appraisal with some facts and some judgments. Please ask any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.
