The Vinyl’s condition is VERY GOOD + almost Excellent. A Very Rare find. This 1960’s lp has to be one of (if not) the earliest iteration of this group seemIngly made up of Western Apostolic Bible College alumni. Among its members on this record is a young Rev Kenneth F. Haney who would become General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal church.

Arlon Russell Royer of Oroville, CA passed away on April 25, 2009. Funeral Services were held at the First Pentecostal Church at 878 Boyenton St., San Jose, CA.

Bishop Kenneth F. Haney

1938 - 2011

Husband, Father, Pastor, Bible College President and Former General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church International. At the young age of 7, he received the gift of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus' name.  At age 12 he received the call to preach at a service conducted by Ruby Keyes at the Bend, Oregon campmeeting where his father was the Bible Teacher for the day services.  He grew up on a farm and preached his first sermons to the cows in the field while they mooed their amens and switched their tails in agreement.  At age 15 he preached his first message in a church, and at age 17 he received his ministerial license with the United Pentecostal Church International.  He was ordained June 19, 1959. In the earlier years of his ministry, he served as Associate Pastor with his father for 11 years at the First Pentecostal Church in Stockton, as well as traveled for WABC, recruiting students in the summer, and preaching revivals and singing

Leon Brokaw

1940 - 2021

Leon Brokaw, born on October 5, 1940, in Exeter, CA, passed at age of 81 in the early morning of November 28, 2021. His wife of 60 years, Ruth, and his granddaughter, Kellie, were present at the time of his passing in his home in Visalia, CA.

Leon grew up in Exeter with his parents, Melford and Evelyn Brokaw, and his sister, Yvonne, and graduated from Exeter High School. At the age of 16, Leon committed his life to serve God, and he spent the remainder of his adult life as a youth pastor in Houston, TX and San Jose, CA, and, later as a pastor in Turlock, CA; Portland, OR; and finally, Heritage Church in Visalia, CA. He was also a Professor of Theology at Texas Bible College, as well as his alma mater, Christian Life College in Stockton, CA.

Leon married Ruth Ann Brokaw on March 25, 1961, when he was 20 years old, and they had three children together.

Leon was a faithful, honest, steadfast man of God, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest desire was to glorify God and share His mercy, love, and truth with others so that they too could know how wonderful life could be alongside our Maker. He touched lives all over the world, and his heart remained confidently assured in the hope of Christ, even in the face of wild unknowns – God has been glorified.
