Description

VG to VG+ condition. Feint ring wear on labels, few minor scuffs Sounds great!  This is a rare single by the World Famous Upsetters band.......(NOT the reggae band)......Little Richard's original touring band, The Upsetters, led by tenor saxophonist Grady Gaines also toured behind Little Willie John, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke and others. This session was recorded in New York and produced by a hustler from Richmond,Va. who went by the name Mr. Wiggles. Wiggles owned the Sound Of Soul label. Legend has it that Jimi Hendrix, who knew the Upsetters from r&b tours Hendrix had done with Gorgeous George and The Tams, was added to the band for these recordings. Guitar is forefront in the mix and the funky, angular rhythms are typical early Hendrix! A rare, highly collectible, original record!!
