Description

Up for sale here is the legendary Beatles Collection Blue Box (BC 13). This box set was released in 1978 in both the U.S.. and the UK. This pressing offered here is the UK pressing. Which is much sought after for its audio clarity. The Beatles British pressings always tended to sound better. I have seen a few of these boxes and I must say that this is one of the better ones I have seen. Usually the box is pretty marked up or split. This box is in nice condition. If I had to rate it as a lp jacket, I would give it a VG/VG+ rating. There are some blemishes toward the bottom on the front side. There is also a light crease on front at lower left side. You can see them in the photo. There is also some mild wear to some of the corners and a small beginnings of a split inside box...which does not come through whatsoever.. Please look closely at the photos for detail. There is some marks to the bottom of the box, which is to be expected. All in all the box is solid all around. Now let's get to the vinyl. Most people will tell you that there set is near mint. Most will claim that the records have only been played once and some not at all. I rarely have found this to be true.  Let's face it.... if some of the records in the set were played, even just a few times...they rarely are still near mint! Even if you were wearing silk gloves every time you handed it!!  :)  Out of 13 records, there is bound to be one that is not Near Mint.  I will rate each record individually, So you will know exactly what you are getting. ...Both vinyl and cover. The ratings are as follows:

Let It Be (Apple PCS 7096) - Vinyl: NM  Cover: NM (Very minor light mark on side one)

**** NOTE TO BUYERS****

I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. Some records and/or covers may fall into two categories, if I feel it is necessary. If you would like more detail about the condition of a specific title, please feel free to ask. I will respond promptly.

M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.

NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) -  Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.

VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or small seam splits.

G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.

P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
