THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
This rare 1968 2nd STEREO pressing of their 1965 album is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper codes: 2/GM & 2/GR
Vinyl weight: 147g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover, with small black 'stereo' indicator in the upper right corner of the front panel. Thought to be for export purposes only, this cover type also appeared with a similar silver 'stereo indicator.

Both are clean and bright with nothing more than a number of faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which bear no significant surface marks/wear in strong daylight, and just a few harmless wispy paper hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve removal beneath halogen light.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This disc has been played with care on good equipment and is without any significant or major audible issues. Our play-check detected some low-level vinyl background between tracks and on 'Michelle', but no clicks, pops, jumps, repeats or any other audible distractions.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A respectable, fully intact example of this rare cover, which belongs in any serious Beatles collection.
The front panel is clean & retains an excellent high-gloss laminate, with just an unavoidable faint disc impression. There is a single small 'thumbnail' wrinkle aside Ringo's head and two small creases just below Paul's ear. The all-important black indicator is fully intact and unworn. There is light wear to the corner tips and front opening edge, but no heavy bumps or tears. The rear panel is as clean & unblemished, bearing slight and even age-toning to the paper.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean & fully worded.
