Description
The Revillos, Rev Up vinyl 12" LP, VG+, DIDX 3 on Snatzo Records (1980). The first album released by The Revillos, the group formed by singers Fay Fife and Eugene Reynolds following the break up of the Rezillos. Includes the singles 'Scuba Boy Bop', 'Hungry for Love' and 'Motorbike Beat'. I bought this from new in 1980 having been a great fan of the Rezillos, and have looked after it carefully ever since. The sound is very influenced by early 60's girl groups and beat combos, with great fun lyrics and performances that can't fail to entertain. The sound contains less punky guitar and TV/comic influenced tracks than the Rezillos, Fay and Eugene having parted company with Jo Callis. The colourful and information-packed sleeve has been personally signed by each member of the band (see photos), which makes this a true rarity and collector's item.
