Description

An original 1st press [Loud-Cut] of Rubber Soul on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. The heavy set vinyl [heavy!!] comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has seen relatively light use. Under close inspection the are a few very light bag-rash low-level marks - absolutely nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A very decent rendition and one without major issue. The only vague issue I would lodge against it is that 'Michelle' plays with a touch of low-level static in places. Now, do bear in mind that this is VERY common and it is pretty difficult finding any original pressing without this issue. Certainly nothing invasive, but it is just audible all the same. For the remainder of the recording expect a very nice level of playback - clean and without issue. Do expect a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments, and then a couple of low-level ticks in the opening seconds of 'My Life' - but that really is it. An impressive rendition of this harder to track down loud-cut 1st issue.
Cover (Vg+) Very decent condition - certainly not perfect, but a good all rounder without anything unsightly. Lovely shiny and clean front with just a couple of thumbnail creases toward the opening. The rear is better than many that surface and just exhibits a touch of ageing over toward the opening and the odd light mark. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
