Description

An original mono press of RS on the UK Parlophone label from 1965. Matrix 4/4. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st cover. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) A lovely looking copy which has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side. Nothing heavy or likely to enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with only the very slightest deviation in a couple of spots. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. You can tell straight way when you hear this LP - it has to have only seen light use. 1965 copies very rarely surface playing this clean. What was particularly surprising is that it played pretty clean into 'Michelle'. Not perfect - but better than 90+% of copies. By and large a great player which you'd find difficult not to be impressed with. Copies do not typically play this clean. All the acoustic numbers play really sweet - which means you finally get to appreciate them fully from a true early copy. Ok, you might detect a few crackles in one isolated moment per side [e.g. Life]. A classic copy that would suit a collector<<<
Cover (Ex-) A really nice looking cover - they don't all surface looking this good. Nice shiny front with a crease running across the top left corner and a few minor thumbnail creases near the opening. Now that rear is nearly always aged on a '65 copy. But this copy has avoided all but the very faintest of ageing on - not perfect...but quite impressive. Note the neat signature in the top right. Edge wear is very slight for an Lp of this vintage. The openings are still firm and not heavily worn. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Superb!
Emitex (Ex-) Lightest ageing. A couple of creases. No splits.
