Description
The Beatles, Rubber Soul, UK first press (1965).
This is the famous 'loud cut' version (-1 matrix) - replaced after a few weeks of production.
It's in very good condition - though please see the photos which combine with the words to form the overall description.
The matrix numbers and stampers are (side 1) XEX 579-1, 2/LH and (side 2) XEX 580-1, 3/LL.
The cover is clean, bright, sturdy and strong. The spine is clear and readable. There is some light creasing to the side opening where the disc is removed.
Inner sleeve is lovely.
The discs are strong overall, with various light marks to the vinyl. The labels are good with some spindle wear to both sides (pictured).
I play tested the record through. It has no skips or jumps.
Overall this is a very good copy. It's obviously been listened to, over the years, but very well looked after. It's been in my private collection for around 8 years and barely listened to in that time.
