Description

An original 1st issue of Revolver from shortly after 1st release in 1966. Matrix 2/3. Please note that there are very early 1st pressings with a 2/1 matrix. THIS is NOT that copy. Early copies that come from the 1st issue period will show the track Dr.Robert in abbreviated form. The story goes that Lennon didn't feel that was in keeping with the subject matter of the track. He stepped in, at the time of the release, and asked them to change it to 'Doctor'. ALL copies therein would show the full word. We have an original mono 1st issue cover and a patent applied for inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very decent condition has only seen moderate use. Expect a few light marks per side - seemingly nothing heavy or nothing nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with a couple of deviations per side. Not clean enough to hit the top grades, but more than capable of delivering a solid pleasing rendition for the average Beatles nut. No upfront background - but do expect a bit of background here and there in a couple of the quieter tracks per side [e.g. Here There Everywhere]. A couple of clicks in one isolated spot per side [e.g. 'Love You To']. Overall a pretty tidy player with little to offend.
Cover (Vg+) In decent condition despite a bit of ageing observable on the front. A couple of thumbnail creases toward the opening. The rear is in decent order with flipbacks intact and secure. A small stain extreme bottom right corner. Text on the spine is all still legible - but with ageing. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. But no splits.
