An original 1st issue of Revolver from summer 1966. Don't make the mistake of thinking this is the 1st press - IT IS DEFINITELY NOT. Very 1st press was very short lived and contained an alternate mix of TNK. THIS IS NOT THAT RECORD. But this record would have been available around the time of 1st release in summer 1966 [matrix 2/2]. The early copies are easy to spot. The labels mention "DR.Robert" in abbreviated form. Lennon soon requested that this be changed at 1st release to better reflect the content of the song. These early copies are pressed really heavy. The vinyl comes housed in an original Mono flipback cover. Also included is an original Decca poly-lined sleeve from the time, this is NOT the original inner it would have arrived in.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In good shape despite having seen a moderate level of use. If you're someone who is in any way fussy on the audio side I'd try looking for a better preserved example. There are quite a few light marks, and one or two semi-feelable that do sound in places. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD level of playback on side 1. Side 2 plays better at nearer VERYGOOD+ for the most part. In fact, side 2 plays very nice indeed with only a few clicks in track 1 & 5. Side 1 plays nearer VERYGOOD. Expect a touch of low-level back ground static in tracks 2-4. This is quite common on a lot of copies and is not invasive, more sort of 'background level'. The one track which is sub-par is " Here,There "..There's a mark in that track and the 1st half of the song is a bit crackly with some clicking. Overall still a decent early copy..
Cover (Vg+) A Lovely shiny relatively unaged front cover - just a couple of thumbnail creases at the opening. The rear looks very nice and much better than you typically find. All flipbacks intact and secure. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Very little ageing. No splits.
