The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most ICONIC and COLLECTIBLE Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK on August 5th 1966. EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER by Collectors around the World today, we are pleased to offer this VERY NICE example.
Album Description/Condition:
This ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone Heavyweight Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in impressive Excellent condition. A very clean set of undamaged record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, each record label shows signs of play to the centre spindle holes.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-3.
Side 1 stampers: 6 GTD and Side 2: 4 GMH.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible to the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the superb vinyl surfaces are in Excellent Minus condition, very nice well cared for, clean vinyl surfaces to both sides, showing only a few light surface hairline scratches to either side, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible.
Audio Quality:
All 14 tracks play beautifully well,with a clear powerful mono sound quality, NO clicks, NO skips, the LP plays extremely quiet during and in between tracks, there is very, very mild background crackle on some of the tracks.
The album comes in its original lined use Emitex Inner Bag, which is in undamaged condition, there are NO seam splits, and just light creasing, and age toning.
…And is housed in it’s original, front laminated, first issue Ernest J.Day & Co Ltd sleeve, which is in very nice condition, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three large undamaged flip backs to the reverse.
The sleeve is in SUPERB Excellent Plus condition, the Laminated front panel is clean, white and firm, and still retains its gloss shine.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is in undamaged condition, showing a clean black, back panel, with hardly any of the usual ring wear, all three of the large flipbacks are perfect. The spine edge, and other edges are also perfect, with clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’.
A superb clean, example of this iconic Beatles UK original mono LP, Beatles albums in this nice condition are difficult to find, most are played to death, and have very tatty sleeves, this example will not disappoint, with clear sound quality too.
