Description
This auction is for a UK first pressing of Led Zeppelin's debut, self-titled album from 1969. Although this has the Superhype label credits and the uncorrected matrix numbers usually associated with the copies with turquoise lettering, this one has orange lettering on the cover.
Below I give an honest description. All gradings are based on the UK Record Collector Grading System.
The record has surface marks, scuffs, hairlines and a few fine scratches but it sounds great. It plays through with NO JUMPS OR SKIPS. I would grade the sound as Very Good Plus.
The cover has normal signs of wear and tear with creases and marks etc, but no major issues.
The side two label has the name Pat underneath the title. The side one label has stickers on it, which are removeable but they are covering some damage and a stain - please see the close-up photos.
This is a rare version with Superhype credits and uncorrected matrixes (like the turquoise copies), and is a decent copy to listen to that plays through with NO JUMPS OR SKIPS, but the issues on the labels mean that it should be treated as a collection filler.
