Description

An original Uk Parlophone pressing from 1963. Matrix 1N/1N.  Parlophone perimeter text, and No publishing date means this is the technical 3rd pressing coming hot on the heels of those black and gold highly prized originals. These early 63 pressings often weigh in at close to 180 grams. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original EJDay mono cover. We also have the Emitex inner too.  So, 100 genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex-) In super condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of lightmarks per side - nothing heavy or nasty looking. This is deep grooved mono and will not be troubled. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with just one deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Lots of early 60's energy and not much background. Perhaps just a few crackles in one isolated spot per side. And a couple of ticks in one spot per side. But even the fussy acoustic numbers are playing pretty clean. A super performer and difficult not to be bowled over by this luscious rendition.
Cover (Vg+) Nice clean surfaces without much sign of ageing. Both front and back really do look very spritely considering the vintage. The rear looks amazing and has avoided much of the typical ageing. I will repair and tidy up some of that top flipback wear. But some will still be noticeable. Spine is in really good order. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. What a specimen!
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Slightest ageing.
