Beatles Please Please Me 1963 3rd Press Mono Version B

IN/IN

According to several sites - Discogs and The Beatles Collection to name but two - This is the rare 3rd press with second version labels . These labels were very short lived between the old Black & Gold 1st & 2nd press and the Black and Yellow 4th press, which had the ‘Recording First Published….’ Text.

Some estimate that about 5000 3rd press were made.

The original early Ernest J Day sleeve is in excellent condition with barely a mark. These early sleeves were made from thicker card than later versions. Most original sleeves are in very average condition but this one is very strong with fully intact and readable spine

Original Use Emitex inner in VG+ condition

Record has early 2ML/2AL stampers . Very early ZT tax code

Labels show signs of play but no writing or tears

Side one visually and sonically VG with a few minor scuffs, scratches and hairlines but nothing too deep or worrying. Plays through well with occasional crackles, mainly audible between tracks and in quiet passages Side two visually and sonically also VG

No sticks skips or jumps.

Although not an audiophile archival quality record, it is a very early and rare version of an iconic piece of Pop and Rock history in decent playing condition and with a lovely outer sleeve.
