This is a rare and highly sought-after vinyl record of The Beatles' debut album, 'Please Please Me'. The record is a first pressing with a gold label and was released in the UK in 1963 under the Parlophone record label. The sleeve is in very good condition, and the vinyl itself has been graded as good plus (G+) with a mono audio channel. This is a must-have item for any Beatles fan and collector. 1. First pressing. March 22, 1963. The first pressing has black label with gold print and “Parlophone Co. Ltd” printed at the start perimeter print. “Dick James Mus. Co” uncorrect publishing credit for “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Misery”, “Do You Want To Know A Secret” & “There’s A Place”. With or without tax code and with 33 1/3 on the label. Tax code variations: ZT, Polythene-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 421-1N; Side 2: XEX 422-1N
Mother/Stamper: side one 1/0; GT side two 1 C1? CP(difficult to read exactly but close and low either way)
Condition; Sleeve Laminated front i would say VG+ Very nice and clean,just two small corner bumps. Back of the sleeve Flipback; Small tape mark light foxing small hole on the top flip. otherwise not bad for the year VG. Spine All writing lovely and clean and clean..
Inner Sleeve = Fully useable 'use emitex' original. Has corner crease otherwise EX
Inside is a Very Nice Parlophone Sales Sheet Listing Other Titles For Sale, i am not sure if this came with release or not! But still an excellent bonus to have. Condition Ex.
Vinyl/Record/LP Condition. Visibly Good, There are quite a number of large visible amount of hairline scratches. I have just play tested this on my HIFI With treble turned right up! And to be honest it sounded great, odd light crackle between tracks. NO Jumps clicks or sticking, Just a light crackle in between. I have never used a cleaning machine, but it might help, but it sounded nice to me without. So Visibly Good/Playing wise VG/ Possibly better.
