Description

For sale is a rare genuine 3rd U.K. mono issue of the Beatles first album "PLEASE PLEASE ME"

This 3rd issue is identifiable by the extra small 33 1/3 on the labels - a mistaken continuation from the original black and gold labels. After a few thousand were pressed the mistake was noticed and the labels changed.


This copy also comes with the original Black and Gold sleeve, with the front photo credit starting at the second s of songs. This would be classed as VG+ condition apart from the side long split on the bottom fold over, which pushes it down to VG-


Original use Emitex inner sleeve in VG condition

Record itself is visually VG- with many scuffs and surface scratches. However, sonically it is VG, with no sticks skips or jumps but crackles noticeable in quiet passages.

This is by no means an audiophile collectors copy, but is a playable copy of a very rare issue.
