Description

An original 1st USA press of LIB on the Apple label. Etchings "Ronnie+ Phil" also "Sf Bell Sound". There's also the wineglass etching of WINCHESTER PLANT. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue red apple UK COVER. This cover is the very 1st UK version with very narrow spine and a red apple logo on the rear. I would imagine someone has matched this cover and vinyl over the years at some point - I doubt very much it originated like this from day one. But what I can guarantee you is that both cover and record are genuine 1st issue - and of an impressive standard. We'll ship with it housed in a black lined inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. I can't really recommend this copy highly enough. Winchester did a fantastic job with the pressing and it is, thankfully, preserved to a high level. LIB is and always was a fussy record on the audio side. Let me assure you that this copy will deliver the goods from beginning to end. Even 'Long & Winding Road' and 'LIB' play very nice and clean. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All I could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A really sweet copy if you can live with the fact that the cover is UK and the record Winchester USA.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after. Lovely clean and shiny front with only a couple of thumbnail creases. The rear is in similar condition with just a couple of tiny creases. Edge wear is very slight with just a touch at the opening. The spine looks absolutely fine with all text legible.
Inner (Ex) It's NEW! So, kind of pointless grading!
