Description

An original 1st press of LIB on the USA Apple label. Original/Genuine copies should have a number of etchings in the deadwax. "Bellsound sf" is mentioned both sides along with "Phil Ronnie". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card cover with paste-over flipbacks showing the original 60's print! Also included is the original generic white inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. By and large a very nice clean rendition rendition of the title track LIB - and, remember, this is one of the BEATLES more fussy records. Most copies will exhibit some background on this track - really really well preserved copies will only just about avoid all interference. This copy is, in reality, close to the very best copies. I'm picking up just a touch of lightest static momentarily at the start of 'The Long & Winding Road'. I'm being super critical here! The only deviation was a solitary tick in "I Gotta Feeling".. Most definitely a keeper that will thoroughly impress.
Cover (Ex-) A very difficult title to find in top condition and this is why the sealed copies go for a fortune. If only there were more sealed copies - ha! This record has clearly been carefully looked after and is in far better condition than most examples are by this stage in the day. Very nice mostly jet black front cover with just some light handling wear down at the foot - much much less than you typically find. The rear looks just as good with only the very lightest handling. The interior looks awesome - with very little handling at all. Edge wear is pretty light for this title with only the edge of the opening exhibiting a bit and the rest being pretty minimal. The openings to the right hand pocket are still sharpish. The spine looks really good with just the last two letters of 'Let It Be' being slightly obscured. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part thanks to the heavy-card construction.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits though.
