-
“INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP by The Beatles
-
This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.
-
This is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.
-
It was issued January 10, 1964.
-
This is VERSION 1 of this LP with column back cover and INCLUDES the cuts “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You”. As you probably know, legal action against Vee Jay Records required the removal of these 2 songs from future issues of this LP. Vee Jay replaced them with “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” which has come to be called Version 2.
-
This label variation is VJ 1062(1).MR1A, because “Long Playing” and “Microgroove” are printed in uppercase and lowercase letters.
-
BOTH COVER and VINYL ARE ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC! We know this because:
1) The cover has George’s shadow and spine printing.
2) The labels have “THE BEATLES” printed above the spindle hole.
3) The vinyl has “AudioMatrix” stamped in the trail-off on both sides.
-
So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and NOT a counterfeit.
-
The COVER is in VG CONDITION. The front cover image has moderate wear that can be seen in the images. There is light partial ring wear primarily on the right side and bottom areas of the front cover. There is significant flaking on the top seam resulting in a primarily “bald” top seam that has been nicely repaired with glue, not tape. The bottom seam has some intermittent flaking. There is no flaking on the spine. The rear cover slick has moderate aging/”foxing”, and 2 tiny staple holes and a penny-sized sticker stain at the top right corner. There is “balding” on the corners.
-
The VINYL is in VG CONDITION. There are a number of small and light surface hairlines/scuffs with just 1 of them (on Side 1) being just slightly “feelable”. The vinyl has NICE GLOSS. There is very little wear on the labels around the spindle hole (which is quite common to see on copies of this LP).
As you probably know VERSION 1 ISSUES of this LP are MUCH TOUGHER TO FIND than the most of the Version 2 issues.

On Oct-22-22 at 14:27:05 PDT, seller added the following information:Well, the artist is certainly NOT Louise Harrison Caldwell. It is The Beatles, of course. I used a previous template to make this listing and clearly neglected to change that field. (Must have been tired late at night when doing this listing.)
