Description
PMC1240 1st pressing on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -3N/-3N. So, effectively this is exactly what you'd have received had you bought BFS on the day of release. Vinyl weight - 160grams. The record comes housed in its original gatefold sleeve and includes the Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) The record still retains much of its original shine and has not been overplayed. A close inspection reveals nothing more than a couple of light marks which do not sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with hardly an interference at all. The only exception is on Mr.Moonlight where there are a couple of light crackles, but this really is minor. It really is very difficult to find a true 1st press in this kind of condition.
Cover (Ex) The gatefold cover also remains in suprisingly good condition. This style of cover was prone to getting battered very easily. How one that's 45 years old manages to stay in this condition is remarkable. There are one or two light creases, but other than that very little wear at all. Even the text on the spine is intact.
Emitex (Vg) One side has been taped up. But it still looks in pretty good condition with little ageing and no markings.
