Description
This is an original mono 2nd state 1966 copy of The Beatles "BUTCHER COVER" Yesterday and Today LP on Capitol Records (CAPITOL T 2553).
Cover is from the L.A. Capitol plant (indicated by a 6 next to the RIAA seal at lower-left back).
Image #3 shows Ringo's turtleneck "V" visible through paste-over. Image #4 shows original cover visible at lower-left under slightly misaligned paste-over.
- Cover shows significant water damage / staining. "LW" written in ballpoint pen at top-right corner. Approx 1/2" green ballpoint pen mark at lower-left. Approx 2 1/2" split at lower-right. Some splitting / flaking at lower half of spine. Check out the photos for more detail.
- Record (from the Scranton, PA plant) shows LOTS of light wear, but plays through surprisingly well with some light crackle throughout.
- Includes original period correct "CAPITOL '66" inner sleeve with small center splits at all sides.
