Description

Some collectors consider this the most sought after album of all time and here it is from Steve's Train City in Minnesota. We just purchased it from the original owner. Capitol Records made #T2553 The Beatles Yesterday and Today Album and the cover was thought to be too gross to sell the the public as it showed the Beatles sitting with body parts.on them. The cover you see in the picture was added to the albums and they were distributed. The covers were "peeled" on most albums to reveal the real cover. Albums that have not been peeled that still exist are rare and this is one of those. This record is used and the record and the cover show some wear and tears where the cardboard jacket is wrapped together but it is still a very collectible item.

Not all of the albums that are found are the Butcher cover. These are all of the items that identity this album as rare item it is. This album cover does not have the Gold Record Award seal. On the back lower right hand corner is the number 3 representing the Capitol plant where the record was pressed. The cover is the slick type. If you look at the pictures carefully you will see that the trunk slick was pasted on sloppily and ended up offset. You can see part of the original cover underneath on the top left hand corner. Most important on the right hand side of the trunk you can see the the bleed through of Ringo's V neck shirt but unfortunately I have not been able to take a good picture of it. Please consider bidding on this record and also feel most welcome to email me with any questions.

Shipping and insurance is 7.00. Personal checks take 10 days to clear. Payment by PayPal is preferred. Good Luck and Happy Bidding. Thanks for looking and please check out our other auctions. Steve and Patrick
