Description

A 1st pressing of Goldies But Oldies on the UK Parlophone label 1966. Matrix 1G/1G. Please note this copy exhibits the very 1st pressing label with all publishing dates on the left side off the label. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is an original Black and White Emi advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection we could make out three light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. At thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity and minimal interference. All we could detect was a touch of static in one or two isolated moments [literally] - and even that is very minor. The audio from this 1st mono press is superb - a pleasure to listen to!
Cover (Ex+) A really difficult cover to find in top condition due to its popularity. The owner of this copy has taken unbelievable care of it . A nice shiny front with only one very slight crease. The rear, which is usually the problem area, is almost entirely free from ageing. Edge wear is very light and all flipbacks are secure. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. A really very nice example indeed.
Emitex (Ex-) Slight ageing, but no splits.
