*REVOLVER* UK - Mono - 1st pressing - 1966

NO OFFERS PLEASE - AUCTION ONLY

So hard to find an original 1st issue in this fantastic condition. A collectible copy that will not disappoint. Most 1960's mainstream vinyl was played to death, especially mono copies. This disc is a rare exception! ================================================================
THE DISC
Matrix: Side One: XEX 605-2 Stamper: 1-GO Side Two: XEX 606-1 Stamper: 3-GA
AUDIO - EX+
A remarkable example, especially for a mono copy. This disc delivers outstanding audio quality, with near silence through the tracks run-ins and no background noise, whatsoever. Both sides play without any audible intrusions, with the exception of track 1, side 2, where a small mark does produce some rotational 'ticks', but they are largely overpowered by the volume of the track and only affect a short section in the middle of the song. There are no skips or stalls anywhere on this terrific disc. This is a beautiful sounding original which delivers near perfect audio.
VISUALLY - EX
The vinyl surfaces have retained most of their original gloss lustre. There are just a small number of superficial light marks/lines, which are all harmless, except for the aforementioned small mark (most likely caused by a jolt to the playing arm). The look of the surfaces tells you that the disc has been carefully handled and played on very good equipment.
The label text is still vibrant and undamaged with some age spotting, more evident when tilted against reflected light.

THE COVER - VG
Original 'Revolver' covers don't seem to stand the passage of time very well. This example is not perfect but is as good as you could reasonably expect to find. There are perimeter wrinkles and some crescent bends and overall signs of ageing. The photos above, give the best description of its condition.

THE INNER SLEEVE - EX
This is the correct 'Made In England' rice paper lined inner. Lovely condition apart from age toning and some creasing. I always think that the condition of the inner sleeve generally indicates how well the disc has been treated. This one is near perfect, with no seam splits or damage to the opening edges. ======================================================================
The photos are of the actual item. I always use professional, anti-static, cleaning fluid and listen to the whole disc. Professional mailers are always used.
I will be listing more Beatles records, so please have a look
