The Who Sell Out TRACK 612002 1967 Mono UK Release Original EJ Day Patent Pending and Stickered Sleeve with Poster
Here for sale is a fantastic copy of The Who 1967 First Pressing Who Sell Out with Stickered Sleeve and Rare Psychedelic Poster. This is a real gem and is a must for any avid collector of Original Who or 60’s LP’s.
This is without doubt the finest complete copy of this album I have ever seen as you can see from my description and STRICT GRADING to the RECORD COLLECTOR RECORD PRICE GUIDE
This is fast becoming a rarity for collectors as more and more people are buying them for keeps. In the last 4 years alone I have seen this album rise from a £100 to a staggering £500 + item. Who knows in another 4 years it may become a true collectors piece and break the £100 mark.
SLEEVE. VG+ : This is the first pressing of the sleeve with original “Patent Pending” wording running across the bottom. Whilst not all stickered sleeve are patent pending the rarest ones are. The sleeve is complete with no writing or tears. It has a few minor creases and laminate splits but is really it brilliant condition. The white areas have become yellowed from age but the print is still clear and bright. The sticker is slightly tarnished but is complete and a typical example. The edges of the sleeve are all quite sharp with only a few dints and knocks. The spine is wonderfully sharp but does have a knock on each end. The record has been stored in the sleeve in the past but has not suffered to badly for this. All in all this is a great condition sleeve. (SEE PICTURES FOR THE OBVIOUS MARKS)
VINYL. EX- : This again is a first pressing with the slightly textured Track label. Both of which are fantastic with only the usual spindle marks. The record plays wonderfully through with excellent sound and has only a few areas of pops and cracks. This is what you expect to hear when playing a EX- graded record. I played it on my Pye Stereophonic and it sounds beautiful. When you hold the record up to strong daylight you can make out only around 8 marks each side. It really is special.
POSTER. EX : This is the real gem and it is in top notch condition. It has NO HOLES or TAPE MARKS. NO FOLD SPLITS. It does have a small crease across 2 panels which have occurred over the years and unfortunately it does have some yellowing and stains and marks over it. But this is fantastic. It has been stored in the sleeve. I have always shown it off to friends who collect records and they love it. (SEE PICTURES FOR OBVIOUS MARKS)
Over all I have graded this an EX- and can say this is without doubt the best thing in my stock. I am a old time record collector and usually only deal with other traders and exchanges direct but ebay offers a wider audience in this case.
