The Complete Commodore Jazz Recordings Volume 1 (Mosaic 23 LP Box set)
One of only 2500 archival sets produced by the excellent Mosaic label. I checked the condition of all 23 LPs and found them to be in beautiful shape. 21 grade in NM- to NM condition. I found a short hairline on Record #11 which is only present on one of the songs and does not seem to affect play. I also found two small marks present on record #14 Side B (Eddie Condon) which affect the end of track 6 and the beginning of track 7 and do cause some pops during track 7. Otherwise the set is in very strong shape. The thick booklet (really, more of a book!) shows some light evidence of careful handling. The outer box itself is in very nice condition with a bit of edge wear in a couple places and one tiny scratch on the front, otherwise clean and tight. Inner boxes are solid as well with strong hinges. An important collection in beautiful condition!
