CLEAN CONDITION, ALL COMPONENTS IN THIS COMPLETE SET ARE 100% ORIGINAL
Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles WHITE Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE Set is 100% COMPLETE, with TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, NUMBERED GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
LP Description/Condition:
The TWO First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional DARK GREEN Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, ‘with An E.M.I. Recording Reference on sides 3 & 4 record labels’ and ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to ALL four sides of the Two record labels. All four labels are printed ‘Stereo’.
All four record labels in VERY NICE excellent plus condition, CLEAN, UNDAMAGED record labels, VIVID Black Print, showing only a couple of light centre spider trails to each label.
All 4 sides of the vinyl discs are in Excellent Plus condition, the vinyl discs still retain their glossy shine, with nothing more than a few light surface hairlines,There are NO scuffs or deep scratches to any of the sides of the vinyl.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 4/OT & Side 2 stampers are: 3/OA.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 2/ML & Side 4 stampers: 1/GDG .
The TWO 12” Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in RESPECTABLE Very Good Plus condition. They do have some inevitable mild creasing, and both have tiny splits to two of the seams.
….And are housed in an ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0318355, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing, the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is printed ‘Stereo’.
The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in lovely Excellent condition. This is a FIRM, and GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only mild record indentation. The back panel is UNDAMAGED, with only mild record indentation. The inner gatefold is in undamaged excellent plus condition. The spine edge is FINE, with a little age toning, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘ clearly readable. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, and only a very mild corner bruise to 3 of the corners.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle - All four photos are all in Excellent Plus condition, with NO tearing to any of the photo’s, the photograph of George Harrison has a mild crease.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Excellent Plus condition, the poster is a very nice example with no damage, handwriting, or tearing.
Play Quality:
Having carefully played both LPs, all FOUR sides play EXTREMELY WELL throughout all the tracks. There are NO skips, just some light background crackle through the tracks.
This is a very nice example of an original and complete 1968 Beatles STEREO White Album, 100% complete with all it’s original inserts.
