THE BEATLES STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER / PENNY LANE PROMOTIONAL 45 WITH PICTURE SLEEVE
(ORIGINAL PROMOTION 45, ONE OF ONLY 200 EVER PRESSED LIKE THIS) RECORD LABEL IS CLEARLY MARKED AS: PROMOTIONAL NOT FOR SALE: This pressing was given out to The Beatles and the friends and family, and to select radio stations. This is the version that has the extended horn on Penny Lane.
I am the second owner of this 45 and it is in Near Mint Condition regarding both the sleeve (no rips, tears, just slight color wear over time) The 45 itself has no skips or scratches, and no chips, sound is as near perfect for a record of this date can sound. Labels are in Mint to near mint as well. This 45 was purchased from a radio station auction.
This is the single that changed the music world and indeed, most of the culture and changed the face of music, as it now became Art. These Promo editions are very hard to find in this condition and very few still survive... This 45 in particular was appraised by a top a appraisal company out of Arizona. Complete paper work with purchase. Appraiser stated that "in this condition, and with very few remaining, the value is whatever you would like it to be."
