Condition

Here on offer is an excellent copy of the mono version 2nd press 'REVOLVER' a fine investment copy or addition to your on-going personal  Beatles collection. Stored lovingly out of any direct sunlight & in a smoke free home for decades. Comes from an on going collection of vinyl which have been received worldwide with outstanding feedback 100%.

I have also only played this particular example a handful of times. (I had another player) resulting in (as you can see in these photographs provided) an near outstanding looking & both matching - sounding record. None of these photographs have effects added to make them appear better, item is exactly as appears here in these taken by myself, under both daylight & bright white light.

You can see for yourself, by the photographs taken at every angle possible, how great a copy this actually is...None of these photo's are enhanced & item is 100% as is appears. I've also taken the time to provide all of these photographs for you to view, they are all taken under extreme bright white light, so you can get the best view possible.

COVER :

This has the rarer glossy front cover & is made in England by Ernest J. Day & Co LTD. The back text reads on side 2 - Dr Robert & on the label reads DOCTOR ROBERT. This is the rarer earlier error. These are/where almost immediately corrected. The next run did not have this error.

A small light part of storage wear on the front left of Ringo's face & a small part on George. The spine at the side is 100% intact and without split. 100% legible & intact. There are no pre-owned handwritten names in ink or biro pen here on the back/front/inside. There are no signs of damp or any smoke damage. All flip back tabs are secure, with only one tiny part of loose glue to one side, this is easily fixed if so desired.

Lovely back matt cover & superb glossy front, with the finished clarifoil laminated shine. The cover has no yellowing in age, which is all to common to the design. Anything I point out here is only honest and exact. These small issues are in my opinion very insignificant & I'm being highly critical in this part of my description.

LABELS :

Superb labels on both sides...Check the photographs LARGE view below. Hardly any sign of prior use. I have taken these photographs under bright halogen bulb, under these conditions ONLY or when scrutinised, there are a few wispy spider lines.

But only a few that can be seen or counted on one hand. All text is highly legible with complete spread of all titles listed (not forgetting the misspelled Doctor Robert) KT tax code is in superb condition with no wear. These are impossible to have without any wear or rubbing to the code this is clearly printed onto the label side 1. There are NO handwritten names here, or on either side of the labels. Have also the gramophone co. LTD rims. And sold in U.K. Text on either side. Dated 1966....Stamper codes at the side of side 1 at 3 o' clock = 6 & at 9 o' clock = RMO. Side 2 at 3 o' clock = 1 & at 9 o' clock = GTO. I know these codes are important to a collector, but I don't know if they are anything special.

The original 'Patents applied for dust protector inner is present (not pictured) & without any split or damage. MADE IN ENGLAND to the right. This doe's not have the actual record stored inside...I have the record itself stored inside another plain white inner, to avoid split!! this will also be included in the postage.

VINYL :

The actual records condition is what would be described as no less than EXCELLENT shape...With matching near impeccable audio for each & every one of these tracks. Plays as it looks & sometimes yes records can look MINT or excellent...This has none of these problems. There are no signs of warping the record sits 100% flat on a turntable.

Note : upon extreme scrutiny of the record under intense light I.E. Halogen bulb. I see a few signs of storage wear caused from the inner dust cover over time, these are only seen when scrutinised & none are a serious issue or cause any affect on the actual audio contained in these recordings. These are only visable if you look at an angle. I have also test played & checked the record again with a play through one last time of each side...

Note : On side 2 there is a very thin superficial needle drop, or hairline. Blink and you would miss it. This is from either a small part of something inside the dust cover or a slightly clumsy needle drop years ago? but....I must point out, It also has no impact on the audio & is wispy in it's nature, very thin & can not be felt on the records actual surface. I checked this to make sure through headphones & it sounded (to my relief) absolutely fine. At very worst when your playing this particular copy you would only possibly hear a built up dust particle, possibly causing a tiny tick here or there. Please also note : I have not attempted to clean the record with any solution etc. I have only wiped the record clean from attracted dust particles (record still attracts static) over the years before I played once again. I'll leave the final cleaning process up to you. It'll definitely only get better from doing this & may actually even upgrade the records play to a near mint example.

With all this said & the photographs provided below...You will not get a more honest or better description easily in listings. I take time out from more important things in my life to make sure I get it right for you. satisfaction is my aim. I do not list hundreds upon hundreds of records at one time, only the cream of the crop. All VG++ will come later. Everything has been pointed out & is an exact description.

Record will be packed in a tough custom box DEFENDAPACK mailer as shown in the photos below. The mailer has a locking tab. The record will be placed outside its cover and inside a brand new polythene protector between two card stiffeners and sealed at the top with fragile marked masking tape. Items are labelled "handle with care".

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
