Description
The Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve is in amazing condition as you can see from the pictures. The labels are fantastic with very minimal spindle wear and have kept their sheen. Side 1 has one faint scratch on the vinyl, otherwise its in excellent condition. Side 2 has a few faint sweeping scratches and can be described as very good condition. Overall, this is a fantastic example of this mono album and there cannot be many examples for sale.
Yellow Submarine is the 10th album by The Beatles in the United Kingdom, released on Apple Records, catalogue PCS 7070 stereo and PMC 7070 mono. On Capitol Records in the United States, it is catalogue SW153. It was issued as the soundtrack to the film of the same name, which premiered in Great Britain seven months prior to the album's release.
Although the essential artwork on the album covers issued in the United States and Great Britain are similar, there are a few subtle differences on the sleeves. The front of the British jacket contains the words "NOTHING IS REAL" in green print just below the album's title. This subtitle had been omitted from the American album cover.
