Description
Rubber Soul by the Beatles.
PMC 1267
XEX 579 4/580 4
UK mono second pressing following the swiftly deleted Loud Cut version.
Label A has sans serif font with an extra dot on the Sold in. U.K. caption & label B has Times New Roman font. I think that although these extra dot labels aren't that rare (or all that interesting really) this combination probably makes it a true one off - the nearest I can find on discogs.com has TNR on side A & SS on side B.
Firstly, the record:
Visually both sides show numerous surface hairlines & some faint spindle wear commensurate with moderate use but not abuse. I've had it professionally cleaned so it's nice & shiny & this has also optimised playback.
I've play tested it & it sounds really good. There is a little crackle here & there (isn't this why we love records??) but certainly not anything to overpower the generally clean, warm listen. No skips or jumps.
Secondly, the sleeve:
G & L flipback version.
Clean, strong & unmolested apart from a couple of very small imperfections on the front. The spine is clean, unworn & legible. Would look handsome in any collection.
It comes with a clean emitex inner which had lost its poly lining so I've pushed another one inside & I think it looks pretty tidy now.
Further notes:
KT tax code on side B.
Please study all twelve pictures before making an offer or bidding because they make up part of the description.
A genuine rarity in decent shape which I'd probably keep myself if I didn't already have 4 copies of this classic disk!!
Offers welcome.
Plenty of other Beatles available including some yet to be listed!
I post promptly and securely second class to keep costs down and I sometimes use recycled packaging.
Polite disclaimer:
If you don't have the means to pay for a bid within 48 hours of sale then please let me know before bidding.
Also if you intend making an offer but you have further questions about the items for sale, then you should ask them *prior to making that offer. By making an offer you are committed to the sale should the retailer accept it as per eBay terms and conditions. Sorry to have to mention this but I've suffered some frankly rotten buying etiquette recently.
If you want digital playback then get a download or a CD.
Domestic or GSP buyers only please.
Check out my feedback, bid with confidence, & thanks for looking
